Nursing Aide Training Course

Nursing Aide Training program is one & a half year program, which includes 1 year training period and 6 months on the job training.

Course Details

Orientation and probation of first two months

Students during this period will familiarize themselves with ward routine, equipments, instruments and Institute procedures. Classes, lectures and discussions will be conducted. After this period, the students will be assessed to see, if she has the aptitude and capability of completing the course. Students who will be found unsuitable will be asked to leave.

Training period including probation (One Year)

Students completing the probation period successfully will only be allowed to continue training. The total training period is planned into two semesters of 6 months each. During this period, besides lectures, practical aspects of training for carrying out ward procedures will also be there, as a part of teaching process.

On the job training (6 months)

Students who successfully pass the course will receive on-the-job training for 6 months to integrate practical and theoretical knowledge.

Note: Candidates are required to sign a bond, that after completion of the course; they will serve for one year in the hospital, at the salary applicable at the time of employment. Only those willing to sign the bond will be admitted to the course. However, the hospital does not guarantee the employment to all successful candidates.

Eligibility and selection procedure

  • The candidate’s age should be between 17 to 25 years as on 1st August of academic year.
  • The candidates should be unmarried.
  • The candidate should be passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized University / Board.

Short listed candidates will be required to attend an interview at RGCIRC, Delhi at their own expenses.

The selected candidates will be required to do the following:

  • Undergo Medical examination at RGCI & RC, Delhi
  • Produce all certificates and testimonials in original
  • Deposit Rs. 2000/- as onetime non-refundable fee

Rules and Regulation

  • 15 days holidays will be given during the course.
  • Sick leaves up to 10 days in a year on the recommendation of staff doctor of the institute.
  • No other leaves will be granted during the period of training.
  • Students are not allowed to take up or continue any other academic course / training during this course.
  • Students are required to wear uniform, when on duty.
  • Student should always adhere to rules and regulations followed in the Institute. A student may be expelled, if she does not keep up with the requirements academically or is otherwise undisciplined or her conduct is found unsatisfactory.
  • Visitors and cell phones are not allowed, while on duty.

Procedure to apply

  • Submit duly filled application form.
  • List of shortlisted candidate will be displayed on institute notice board.
  • All shortlisted candidates are required to come for an interview
  • Final list of selected candidates, along with the instructions for completion of formalities before joining will be displayed on institute notice board.
  • Selected candidates will have to clear Medical Examination done by institute.
  • Selected candidate submit the required documents and Fee and get enrolled for course.
