Dr. Chaturvedi acquired his medical education MBBS and MD from the Armed Forces Medical College, Poona, India and served in the Indian Army Medical Corps. He underwent higher education and training at Bristol university, England and Tata Memorial hospital, Mumbai. He was the pioneer of interventional radiology at the Premier Armed Forces hospital at Delhi Cantonment and in 1996 was appointed Chief of radiology and Imaging at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute at New Delhi. He has been the medical director of the institute from 2006 to 2010. He has been a visiting professor to the University Of Rochester, New York, USA and has made multiple scientific presentations at the Radiological Society of North America annual meetings at Chicago. He is primarily associated with the practice of oncological radiology. He has over 44 scientific papers and 65 guest lectures, keynote addresses and orations to his credit. He is the recipient of Roentgen Oration, citation and Gold medal (2012). He is an acclaimed educator, has authored two book chapters and is directing the post graduate DNB programme in radiology at his institute. He is associated with a number of international clinical trials as an expert on clinical imaging and is the chief scientific investigator for a breast cancer project awarded by International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna. He is a member of the ICMR Task Force for evolving guidelines for cancer. He has been a national and international faculty in a number of scientific meetings in India and abroad. He is a member of Radiological Society of North America, International Cancer Imaging Society and FICCI health services committee.
