About

Dr. David K Simson is a trained radiation oncologist specializing in advanced radiation techniques such as intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) / Rapid Arc, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). He is also experienced in interstitial, intracavitary, and intraluminal brachytherapy.

Following graduation from AIMS, Thrissur, he joined Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in 2012 for his post-graduate training in radiation oncology. After his training, he worked in different cancer hospitals in Delhi, including Action Cancer Hospital. Before he re-joined his alma mater, he was the consultant radiation oncologist at Fortis Hospital. He has many publications to his credit in various national and international journals. He cleared the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) exam in 2017. He was awarded the ESMO preceptorship and attended the same in Singapore in November 2018. Dr. David has a keen interest in teaching and research; and, he is deeply involved in the post-graduate programs and research work of the Institute.

Presently, Dr. David is a consultant in Gynecology and Genitourinary Radiation Oncology services at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre.
