Dr. Jiten Jaipuria

About

Dr Jiten Jaipuria is a dynamic rising figure in the field of Uro-oncology. He is one of the youngest certified robotic surgeons in India, and routinely performs open, laparoscopic, and robotic uro-oncological procedures including radical nephrectomy, cystectomy, and prostatectomy. He is also an avid researcher and his scientific papers have won ‘Best paper of the year’ award from prestigious national and international academic bodies on multiple occasions. His current research on ‘Clinical outcomes of the common Urological Malignancies in India’ is part of Doctoral thesis for the award of PhD. He is the youngest nominee to the ‘Uro-oncology subsection’ of the Urological Society of India and is a member of the draft panel that wrote national guidelines for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer. He is a peer reviewer for multiple national and international journals and is also associate editor of the Journal of Robotics in Oncology. Being a former fellow in endoscopic hernia surgery, he was instrumental in pioneering robotic parastomal mesh hernia repair. RGCI presently has the largest series of such repair in the world. He has special interest in focal therapy for prostate cancer.
