The field of breast oncology is evolving in the most revolutionary manner with dramatic advances involving all the spheres of breast cancer treatment.Thanks to precision medicine, genomic landscaping, targeted therapies, diagnostic technology and surgical strategies. The field continues to gather momentum with personalized medicine.

Bigger may definitely not be better in the era of precision medicine.Traditional definitions of surgery give way to modern technology with the advent of LASERS, Cryoablation, ROLL and HIFU. Genomic landscape determine adjuvant therapy and NGS helps tackle drug resistance. Similarly IORT and hypofractionation have revolutionized the way radiation has been delivered in breast cancers.
