RGCIRC organized an Oncology CME in association with Association of Physicians of India (API) Hisar, Haryana where Dr. L.M. Darlong, Head – Thoracic Onco-surgery delivered an insightful lecture on “Advances in Thoracic Onco-surgery to Diabetes & Obesity in Lung Cancer – News Insights”. He explained that in recent years, advances in thoracic onco-surgery have transformed the way we approach complex lung cancer cases, especially in patients with co-existing conditions like diabetes and obesity. With newer minimally invasive surgical techniques, improved perioperative care, and enhanced understanding of how obesity and diabetes influence tumor biology, experts are now able to personalize surgical strategies more effectively.
