About Us

Who We Are?

RGCIRC Biorepository is the largest hospital based biorepository in North India. The BioBank stores around 85,572 bio specimens across various cancer indications of which 28,524 have been shared. We provide unparalleled sample resources to researchers in India and overseas both from academia and industry. We have more than 7,485 donors participating in this programme so far.

Vision

To have a contemporary Biorepository facility at the capital city of Delhi with a membership of good standing with International Society for Biological and Environmental Repository(ISBER).

Mission

To accelerate research with a view to help researchers find novel targets for cancer therapy/developing better diagnostic tools and newer drug therapies. To be pioneers in the field of biobanking in India- building bridges to health and developing biobanks for a better tomorrow.

Quality Commitment

We are committed to provide fit- for purpose bio specimens for research. We comply with the applicable quality and regulatory practices in India. We work with pathology as our core science and have a close nexus of histopathologists, surgical oncologists, anaesthetists, medical oncologists and OT nurses supporting our quality frameworks. We strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of biobanking from bio samples to data management.
