About

Dr. Renuka is a highly experienced Gynaecologic Oncologist with over 17 years of experience after post-graduate, and 12 years of experience in Gynaecologic Oncology. She specializes in the comprehensive surgical management of gynaecological cancers, with a strong focus on evidence-based and patient-centered care.

She completed her Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology from Action Cancer Hospital and received advanced oncology training at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She has also served as a Senior Resident at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, gaining extensive clinical and surgical expertise.

Dr. Renuka was the first fellow to be awarded a Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology by the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India in 2015. She has also earned the prestigious European Board ESGO Certification in Gynaecologic Oncology (Rome, Europe).

She has undergone specialized training in laparoscopic radical cancer surgeries under Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar at Galaxy Hospital, Pune, and is among the few gynaecologic oncologists skilled in performing advanced laparoscopic radical surgeries for gynaecological cancers. In addition, she is trained in laparoscopic benign gynaecological procedures, including myomectomy, surgery for stress urinary incontinence (SUI), ovarian cystectomy, simple hysterectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, and hysteroscopic procedures.

Dr. Renuka previously served as a Consultant Gynaecologic Oncologist at Action Cancer Hospital for over six years, where she was actively involved in academic activities and served as teaching faculty for Fellowship and DNB programmes. Prior to joining RGCIRC, she worked as Senior Consultant and Head of Gynaecologic Oncology at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.

She has also received specialized training in gynaecologic oncology procedures and colposcopy under Dr. S.K. Das, a pioneer in colposcopy and one of the senior-most gynaecologic oncologists in India.

Currently, Dr. Renuka is working as Senior Consultant & Unit Head (Unit-II), Gynaecologic Oncology, where she provides comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized cancer care to her patients.
