RGCIRC in association with IMA hosts Oncology CME on Cancer Awareness

 RGCIRC, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Panipat, successfully conducted an Oncology Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on Friday, February 27, 2026, in Panipat to strengthen evidence-based oncology practices and address common misconceptions. The event featured two primary academic sessions: the first was led by Dr. Vineet Talwar (Director – Medical Oncology, RGCIRC), who addressed “Cancer Myths and Facts” to emphasize how scientific evidence and early diagnosis are critical to overcoming patient hesitation and improving outcomes. The second session, “CyberKnife: Surgery Beyond the Scalpel,” was conducted by Dr. Jaskaran Singh Sethi (Sr. Consultant & Chief of GI, GU, HPB, & TBI Radiation Oncology, RGCIRC), who detailed how CyberKnife technology provides highly precise, non-invasive radiation treatment that minimizes damage to healthy tissues and offers a significant alternative to traditional surgery
