Dr. (Prof.) I. C. Premsagar, Chief, Neuro & Spine Oncology Services at RGCIRC (Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre), addressed concerns around the safety of Bluetooth earphones, clarifying that the radiation emitted by such devices is non-ionizing and does not damage DNA, and therefore does not cause cancer. He emphasized that current research has found no direct link between Bluetooth earphones and brain tumours, while advising cautious and moderate usage; he also highlighted early warning signs of brain tumours—such as persistent headaches, vomiting, vision or hearing issues, and cognitive changes—and stressed the importance of timely medical consultation if such symptoms are observed.
