Dr. Shalini Agnihotri is a Cancer Genetics Specialist and clinician-scientist with over a decade of experience in cancer research and more than six years of dedicated clinical practice in hereditary cancer genetics. After earning her Ph.D. in Prostate Cancer Biology, she transitioned from molecular cancer research to clinical cancer genetics, with a focus on translating genomic discoveries into personalized patient care.
At the Cancer Genetics Clinic, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC), New Delhi, Dr. Agnihotri provides comprehensive genetic counseling and hereditary cancer risk assessment, integrating detailed family history evaluation, risk prediction, and advanced genomic testing to guide cancer prevention, early detection, precision treatment, and long-term surveillance. Her expertise includes hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, Lynch syndrome, hereditary prostate cancer, and other inherited cancer predisposition syndromes.
Dr. Agnihotri has counseled more than 3,800 individuals and families for hereditary cancer risk and has extensive experience in cascade genetic testing, enabling at-risk relatives to benefit from timely screening, preventive interventions, and personalized risk management. Alongside her clinical practice, she is actively involved in translational cancer research with interests in cancer genomics, molecular biomarkers, polygenic risk prediction, liquid biopsy, and precision oncology. She remains committed to advancing hereditary cancer genetics in India through research, education, and compassionate patient care.
