Dr. Vineet Talwar (Medical Oncologist, RGCIRC) highlighted that liquid biopsy is transforming cancer care by enabling the detection of cancer-related genetic material through a simple blood test, making diagnosis, treatment selection, and disease monitoring less invasive and more precise. He explained that while liquid biopsy is already being used in several cancers to guide personalised treatment and monitor response, it complements rather than replaces conventional tissue biopsy, representing a major step towards earlier diagnosis and precision oncology
