Dr. Renuka Gupta (Senior Consultant, Gynaecologic Oncology, RGCIRC) dispelled common myths surrounding cervical cancer, emphasising that the disease is largely preventable through HPV vaccination and regular screening, and that early-stage cervical cancer often has no symptoms. She highlighted that HPV infection does not automatically lead to cancer, vaccinated women still require routine screening, and timely awareness and early detection significantly improve treatment outcomes.
