About

Dr. Juhi Tayal is a pathologist and biobanking professional committed to advancing patient-centred clinical and translational cancer research. She leads the Biorepository at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, where she oversees the ethical collection, pathological characterization, quality assessment, preservation, governance, and research use of clinically annotated biospecimens. Her work focuses on bridging pathology, biobanking, and molecular research to support biomarker discovery, precision oncology, diagnostic development, and artificial intelligence-based research. She facilitates the responsible disbursement of high-quality biospecimens, images, clinical data, and related research resources to academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology organizations, and research collaborators in India and globally. Her patient-centric approach ensures that biospecimens donated for research are utilized responsibly to generate clinically meaningful evidence and contribute to better cancer diagnosis, treatment selection, and patient outcomes.

She is also an external auditor for NABL under ISO 20387 and contributes to quality systems, biospecimen governance, data confidentiality, professional training, and national and international initiatives in biobanking and translational oncology.
