B.Sc. in Medical Technology – Radiotherapy (BMTR) Program

Education for Radiation Therapy technologists is provided at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Center affiliated to GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY (GGSIPU), DELHI. 4 candidates plus 1 Kashmiri candidate are admitted per year through CET exam and counselling conducted by GGSIPU. It is 36 months program. The curriculum encompasses the IAEA Curriculum [Series#25] as approved by GGSIPU to award B.Sc. Medical Technology, Radiotherapy (BMTR) recognized by University Grants Commission.

The students are trained on different image planning and Radiotherapy equipment – CT simulation, mould room, and Radiotherapy delivery procedures/techniques by megavoltage machines like tele-cobalt, linear accelerators for conventional/3DCRT/IMRT/IGRT and Brachytherapy for cancer treatment.
