About

Dr. Anila Sharma is an experienced and committed oncopathologist working as a Senior consultant in histopathology department of RGCIRC since 2008 with more than 20 year plus experience in histopathology and 16 years’ experience in oncopathology She shoulders the responsibility for reporting of surgical pathology specimens, diagnostic and theranostic immunohistochemistry in the histopathology section of Department of laboratory services. Her avid interest in neuro-oncology, supplemented by additional training in neuro-oncology at NIMHANS, Banglore has motivated her to equate the neuropathology reporting with national and international standards. The other field close to her heart is quality in laboratory which she believes is an ongoing process and one learns every day. Her keen interest in application of Lean Management system in Laboratory has persuaded her to review few work processes in the Dept and Implementation of Kaizen to workflow processes as as far as possible. Her keen interest in female genital tract oncology complemented with annual training reflect in the standard reporting and diagnosis of tumors of FGT. She also has avid interest in field of digital pathology & AI in pathology and has research projects pertaining to the same.
