With over 22 years of extensive experience, she has established herself as a leading expert in Pediatric Surgery, encompassing pediatric surgical oncology, pediatric urology, thoracic surgery, and neonatal surgery. She is renowned for her surgical precision in managing complex solid tumors in children and adolescents, including Wilms’ tumor, neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, malignant germ cell tumors, Ewing’s sarcoma, hepatoblastoma, non-rhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcomas and other rare tumors.
Having received her surgical training from one of India’s most prestigious institutions — Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, with 8 years of work experience at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi — Dr. Mishra brings with her a wealth of clinical experience, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to compassionate care. Her journey is distinguished by numerous academic awards, national and international accolades, and recognition for her leadership in pediatric surgical oncology.
As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, Dr. Shalini Mishra collaborates closely with pediatric oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, psychologists, and pediatric oncology nurses to provide holistic and individualized care. Every child is assessed in a tumor board and treated according to evidence-based, risk-stratified protocols tailored for optimal outcomes. As Head of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) at RGCIRC, she has established a well-equipped unit staffed with professionally trained personnel.
