Dr. Himanshu Rohela (Consultant, Orthopaedic Oncology, RGCIRC) highlighted that while most lumps are harmless, a growing, deep-seated, painful, or persistent swelling should never be ignored, as it could be an early sign of sarcoma. He emphasised that sarcoma is often difficult to diagnose because its symptoms resemble common injuries or benign swellings, making early evaluation through imaging and biopsy crucial for timely treatment and better outcomes.
