RGCIRC recently hosted a special conference titled “Jeev Sharad: Shatam – Wishing Young Cancer Warriors: Health, Happiness, and Hope” at its Rohini center to highlight pediatric cancer survivorship and holistic rehabilitation. Organized jointly by the Department of Philanthropic & Patient Welfare Services and the Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology & BMT, the event focused on the transition from medical survival to long-term quality of life through psychological support, social reintegration, and structured follow-up care. Key leadership addresses were delivered by Mr. D. S. Negi (CEO, RGCIRC), Dr. D. S. Gangwar (Interim CEO), and Mr. Ashok Aggarwal (Chairman), who emphasized the institute’s commitment to a multidisciplinary approach encompassing physical, emotional, and social recovery dimensions. The session also featured a keynote by Mrs. Reva Nayyar (Director, Essel Social Welfare Foundation) and clinical insights from Dr. Gauri Kapoor (Director of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, RGCIRC Niti Bagh) regarding advanced treatment outcomes and survivorship models
