RGCIRC showcases live robotic telesurgery at ERUS25

RGCIRC has achieved another milestone by demonstrating a live robotic-assisted telesurgery at ERUS25, Europe’s leading event in robotic urology, which brings together participants from around the world. Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director & Chief of Genito-Uro Oncology, RGCIRC was invited by the ERUS organising committee to demonstrate a live telesurgery from RGCIRC into the congress venue in London. It was accomplished by using the indigenous Indian robotic SS Mantra 3 with telesurgical capability. The procedure, a Robotic Assisted Partial Nephrectomy Telesurgery, was performed by Dr. Rawal. The patient was located at RGCIRC, Rohini in Delhi, while the surgery was remotely operated from the SS Innovations International, Inc. headquarters in Gurugram using the indigenously developed Mantra Surgical Robotic System.
