In yet another fillip to medical tourism towards cancer care in the country, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCIRC) in Delhi has inaugurated a dedicated lounge for a large number of patients from abroad that it receives every year. “The International Patients’ Lounge has been designed to work on a single window concept so as to facilitate the entire journey from admission to discharge, saving patients and their attendants unnecessary hassle while they are fighting a disease like cancer. Typically 7-10% of our patients are from abroad at any point of time, majority from neighbouring countries. Including Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan”, said CEO of RGCIRC D S Negi.
