Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCIRC) recently hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program in Haldwani, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), to address the rising cancer burden in India. The event focused on advancements in cancer treatment, particularly for head and neck cancers, which have the highest incidence in the country. Experts highlighted cutting-edge techniques like intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), and CyberKnife, which offer greater precision and better patient outcomes. Dr. Mudit Agarwal and Dr. Kundan Singh Chufal emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and the transformative impact of robotic surgery and advanced radiation technologies on patient recovery and quality of life. The program aimed to equip healthcare professionals with the latest knowledge to improve cancer care.
