In this article, Dr. Vandana Jain, Senior Consultant & Head of Department – Gynaecologic Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC), explains the crucial link between sexual intimacy and cancer. Screening through Pap smears and HPV tests aids early detection, while vaccination before sexual debut offers strong protection. Safe sexual practices, good hygiene, and immunity-boosting habits further reduce cancer risk.
