Overview
Intensive Care Unit is an integral part of the hospital for the management of critically ill cancer patients. A cancer patient (adult or paediatric) is admitted to the ICU for:
- Critical complications of the cancer disease
- Complications of treatment
- Post operative management of patients
- Patients requiring cardiopulmonary support
- Severe metabolic problems related to cancer
