My wife Amrit Kaur Sehgal & mother of Navneet Kaur was suffering from Cerebrovascular Accident – Right Hemiparesis since Nov 1999 and Carcinoma Duodenum with gastric outlet obstruction, GI Bleed since 2018.
On the recommendation of Dr. P.N. Singh of Holy Family Hospital that we should now go for Palliative Care and Pain Management . To discuss the case we met Dr. Sunny Malik, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Niti Bagh, South Delhi, who described us the total procedure and treatment with each and every step very calmly and patiently. He prepared us Mentally strong to deal with the situations.
In the beginning, we thought that the treatment would be very expensive. But after few visits we felt that the treatment is appropriate. At last, we felt that this is the ultimately treatment required for this kind of patients.
During the course of treatment, we have seen the excitement in the eyes of Amrit, for hospital visits after every 21 days, for drip session.
Amrit passed away on 4th December 2023, we all Family Members felt that she went very Peacefully, calmly without any Pain. This all happened because of Dr. Sunny Malik and his team with utmost affectionate care on every step during the treatment period of 7 months.
We strongly recommend that patients should not suffer with Pain and go for Palliative treatment for any sort of pain.
