Our Key Initiatives
Philanthropy has been a cornerstone of our efforts since RGCIRC’s inception in 1996. Through our initiatives, we have been able to touch countless lives and make cancer care accessible to those in need.
- Free Bed Services: Offering hospital beds at no cost to underprivileged patients.
- Discounts on a Case-to-Case Basis: Providing tailored financial aid to patients based on their individual needs.
- Free Home Care Services: Delivering quality care directly to patients' homes.
- Awareness and Screening Camps: Conducting 25–30 free camps monthly to promote early detection and screening.
- Collaborations with Government Schemes and NGOs: Partnering with PMRF, CMRF, and other organizations to expand our reach and impact.
Acts Of Philanthropy
GRACE – A Home Away From Home
The GRACE initiative was created through heartfelt collaboration to provide a nurturing environment for children undergoing treatment and their caregivers, ensuring they have a safe and comforting place to stay during their recovery journey.
Biorepository
In 2013, Shri RKP Shankardass generously donated ₹50 lakh to establish North India’s largest hospital biorepository, a cornerstone of both philanthropy and research excellence. This visionary contribution has led to the collection of:
- 85,572 specimens from 7,485 donors.
- Drives groundbreaking research to advance cancer care and treatment.
Preventive Oncology
“We Screen Not Only To Test, But Screen To Treat.”
Prevention is better than cure, and at RGCIRC, we take this mission to heart:
- Conducting 25–30 free awareness and screening camps monthly across Delhi and NCR.
- Reaching over 4 lakh people, with 1.25 lakh screened and consulted.
- Providing free treatment for underprivileged patients diagnosed with cancer through these initiatives.
Home Care Services
We extend our care beyond the hospital, ensuring patients receive the support they need in the comfort of their homes. Services include:
- Symptomatic treatment
- Professional nursing care
- Health education for patients and families
- Pain relief and nutritional support
- Counselling and emotional support to uplift spirits during difficult times
